authors: Vojta Novotný, Alena Wranová, Jitka Trevisan
Large investments are commonly considered to be a major threat to the city's heritage. Inheritance measures are traditionally focused on managing investment in respectful real estate development. However, most of the Czech cultural heritage is located in towns and villages, which are facing more economic decline. Losses of inheritance items in these places are often caused by lack of maintenance. The case study of this article deals with the issue of protection and restoration of the heritage of the Mšeno district, where the key issue in heritage protection is affordability and communication of values.
